Traditional square farmstead from central Norway. These were built so that you could quickly access all the farm's buildings from the house.
The extremely long house usually contained two or more families, often parents/siblings to the owner of the farm.

Well most people I know are totally amazed by this building.
>>75572992
yea, same. A lot of our cities got firebombed to shit, so all the old wooden houses disappeared obviously.

The wave of archritecture going on today is horrible. Look at this butt ugly hotel, got a big award for it

>>75573853
another rooftop of the same style: the Museum of Applied Arts (the time it was built people mocked it as "Gypsy Palace", now it's considered to be one of the finest examples of Hungarian Art Nouveau)

That building with yellow windows has to be demolished. It makes me uncomfortable
>>75576707

I go to uni here, it's one of the few cities we have where the late 19th/early 20th century colonial architecture is still intact.
Obviously nothing compared to European cities, but it's nice to have something

Don't they live in wooden houses up there?
The first picture I posted is from Fremantle and the other two are from Adelaide. It's probably the most common traditional style in South Australia (from before California bungalows became popular). It's uniquely Australian. You also see examples with bluestone, higher rooves, etc..
>>75580591
Looks like a fucking spaceship just landed in the middle of rural england
Disgusting
Also, posting my uni
I'll post some colonial/Imperial stuff

Sorry, friend.
Despite its reputation on here, Toronto is actually quite a nice city. The Distillery District is quite pretty.

The Commonwealth itself is nothing but a war-ravaged quagmire of violence and despair. Inside the sealed environment of the Institute, however... But... the Institute's affairs are none of your concern. Your undeveloped mind couldn't even begin to comprehend what we've accomplished.
>>75587899
is it near a city?
Is posting a Cathedral cheating?
If not rate pic related 10 min walk away from me
>>75588217
No, it is a small town, 10k people. The nearest big city is located within 60 km, which can be pretty close by American standards, but by European standards it's too far away to commute there every day.
>>75588292
silly me, here's the pic
>>75587823
it's beatiful of ugly it is
