Do you call your father 'father' or 'dad'?
i don't have one
my father is dead
>>75560290
"da"
I called him Dad
>>75560290
never had one
>>75560290
babas (dad)
pateras (father) is too formal, and I don't think many address their fathers like that in Greek
>tfw always scared when my dad came home drunk
I call him by his first name because he is a contemptible manchild who should never have had children.
Call him "farsan" which is neither dad or father. It's a different version of "far" which is father in Swedish.
>tfw no dad
>>75560290
I call him little old man
>>75560290
called em' pops
>>75561320

no. I'm considered rare here
>>75560290
I Call him pappy
I call him pa. I call my mother by her name, not for any lack of respect, it just happend. Feels weird calling her mom
>>75560290
I call him by his name. When he came back from war he was a different man so my older brother started calling him by the name. I was three but i knew that dad and Ljubisha are the same person. I also thought that old oeople are born old and that sparrows are the children of pidgeons and that a man is born with a wife.
If i called my dad dad, it would be cringy as fuck
>>75560512
I beat him up and tell him not to interact with anyone at home when he is drunk.
Same happened to me.
I call him 'ohchee' (oči), which is familiar for oče, so basically dad.
>>75560290
Calling your dad "father" is autistic as fuck
>>75561998
That is father. Tatko would be dad on your 'language'
I call him "ojciec", so "father". "Dad" would be "tata" in Polish, but I can't call my father like that. There is some kind of distance between us.
I call him "Please, Sir"
>>75560290

Killed himself when I was 12
So dad then but he wanted me to call him daddy at the time
>>75563524

Can't remember, been 10 years since I talked to him.
>>75560290
I call him Fadda
>>75564157
Don't worry, he would be extremely disappointed with you after seeing you post anime.
>>75564481
WEEBLEAF BTFO
>>75560290
In conversation with other people I refer to him as my father.
But I call him papa.
>>75563529
What do you call mommy?
>>75560290
I haven't spoken to my father in almost a decade because he's an abusive whoremonger.
I call him "tatang" which is Kapampangan for dad
In the same way I call my mum the Kampangan word for mum which is "ima"
I dunno a lick of Kapampangan but my dad speaks it
>>75560290
Neither. Dad.
>>75560290
Papá
Pa
Apá
>>75560290
I call both my parents by their first names, as do my siblings as well
>>75564481
I doubt it, he was a Japanese anime artist. I post anime to honour him.
I call him 'Dad' in an informal setting, i.e at the range or visiting his place, but 'Father' in public, like at restaurants.
>>75564935
Why?
>>75564935
what do you call your g'pa and g'ma?
>>75564992
I don't know when it started, but it just feels unnatural to call my parents by anything else. We're a close family so maybe we don't see it needing more respect
>>75565007
beppe for grandma and pake for grandpa

>>75560290
I address him by his name, whenever I have to mention him to someone who doesn't know his name, I just say father
I've always called my parents by their first name.
>>75560290
I call him mostly "boludo" or "viejo" (old man) when I have to pretend seriousness
>>75560290
Haven't seem him for 7 years or even much. Call him by name.
I hate both my parents tbqh, I wish they both die soon. I never should have born, especially in "family" like this.
p'pa
(from papa, which is pretty much 'dad')
>>75560290
He's a deacon, so I call him dad to minimize confusion. He has his grandchildren call him papa, and I really disapprove of this. The only acceptable short forms of grandmother and grandfather are grandma and grandpa.
>>75572931
How is it being an uncle anon?
>>75572974
>get to do fun kid stuff with kids
>spoil them and fill them full of sugar
>when they get hyper and annoying, drop them off at home
It's pretty cool. I've been an uncle since I was 14, and now that first nephew is the same age as many of the posters on this site.
>>75560290

>>75569278

Očka
>>75560290
I don't call my father anything
>>75573139
Oh my youngest brother (four in all) was born when I was 12, so we're brought together in that regard I guess.
Yeah young children are fun, but the only thing it also did to me was that I'm not hurried to have any children of my own, since my parents dropped a lot of the responsibilities of taking care of him on me, and I'm not "curious" now to see how it is to tend for little children. I don't know if you have that too.
and I asked because at the rate things are going, I'm going to be an uncle much sooner than I'm a dad
