Continuously studying German. I'm done with uni though so I don't know how to keep it up outside of classes.

How do you guys maintain a language when you can't find somewhere to practice it?

I'm thinking of doing a short course at uni or at the Goethe Institut but they're expensive. Every time I meet Germans here too their English is already really good and they'd much rather practice it with me

Try watching movies with English subtitles (you learn spelling that way aswell)

if you know any english gymnasium education can help you a lot, it taught me grammar and syntax and teacher helped us with fleshing out the accent

I watch on EngVid and American Videobloggers. An accent isn't in my priority, it's good, but grammar and vocab still a problem x_x

You should focus on sentence structure.

It's a lot different from Russian and Croatian.

I went to a gymnasium in Zagreb and most people just translated the Croatian sentence that they thought of into English. The sentence structure was way off, and they didn't understand phrases or more complex sentences.

I feel like they couldn't fully express themselves in a way they could in Croatian and didn't care about doing so 2bh.

Also, we never focused on accent
