We had at least 20-30 kids who were target of severe bullying. Maybe more. Nothing was ever done. The school had a huge scumbag population.
To be fair I ended up bullying tons of people too. Viscious cirlce and all that.
one time we had this american family move locally, and their son was sent to first year in our school. He got the absolute shit beat out of him and was shunned every other way.
Think he lasted a couple weeks. His parents came in and people laughed at them too.
Happened to pretty much all the foreign transfer students.
Some of the teachers got the absolute shit bullied out of them too.
>long hair, lanky, liked and talked about anime, had a naruto key chain
I had no interest in anime at all or did any of that shit. I just kept to myself and never really did anything dumb other than have no interest in school and constantly get in trouble for not doing homework and participating. Detention maybe 10 times and suspended once.

There was this one anime weirdo though. He was an absolute creep and told everyone he wanted to go to Japan to become a ninja. I still see him around. He's a washed up stoner that hasn't groomed himself in years. Think he's just a squatter. He always had a big ego and claimed he was more intelligent that everyone else too.
I bullied him...

Now look at me.

Oh yeah same. I was horrible to people lower than me.
Mostly these kids with mental issues like schizophrenia and stuff. There was a ton of people with mental health issues in my school. I mean most looked and acted normal but were very prone to emotional outbursts and swings.
Had a few low functioning autists too.
I guess that's why I was sent there because it had a reputation for being good for kids with problems. Had a fair amount of drug users too.
But it was the complete opposite. It was a prison hell. We just trashed the place all the time. Parents never listened to me.

Was anyone else's school unusually strict about leaving during break? Mine was in a small town where people just wanted to walk two minutes to the shops, there was no reason for anyone to go further unless they were trying to skip off. And yet you had to get a pass from the principal so only a few could go at a time which just led to people sneaking out. It's even weirder when there were schools in the city that let you wander around without permission in a much larger environment. Maybe they didn't want us clogging up the shops but there three of them and we weren't even allowed in Supermacs.

Breaks are my least favourite part of the day, hate making small talk with people with a passion and the anxiety of where to sit or who to sit with or if its rude to sit by myself when someone has seen me.
I was happy just staying at my desk instead but my manager noted this and insisted I leave the office for a while as she thought I was working too much. I'm also not allowed leave the building for a 15 minute walk either due to "fire safety protocol" or some such.
At least for Lunch I can go somewhere or sit in my car and have some time to myself.

Women are easier to have a friendly conversation with but they're also quite nosy and pry into my private life with personal questions I'm not always comfortable to answer. Men aren't the most interesting to chat with but I do appreciate that they tend to respect my privacy.
Men are quite straightforward as well, they mean what they say and its obvious what they want. Women often ask a lot of loaded questions and can have hidden agendas so I feel as if I need to keep my guard up a bit more.

>And? Some people aren't interested in fashion
Sure, but it's the fact he seemed uncomfortable and looked at me strangely when I brought up the fashion subject. Pretty sure some of the guys think I'm a weirdo. Again it's because I'm not conforming to what lads should talk about or some shit.
>>75376527
> frivolous gay little things like fashion and hairstyles
How insecure of you. This seems to be primarily an Irish thing. Most people in big cities and countries know how to dress and present themselves. I like clothes and spend a lot of money on them.
Plenty of lads do, you probably just don't notice because you have no interest.
It's like when lads complain about how nobody notices womens make-up. It's super obvious they put effort into their make-up if you look but most lads are just not interested and think its "hurr gay" or something.
>>75376546
Good news, I'm just one of many people who are more commonly into this stuff. In the past 5-10 years lads have taken a huge interest in fashion and not dressing in shitty bootcut jeans and poloshirts. You see a lot of lads into different hairstyles these days too.
It will be normalised eventually, just like the current social construct that is so restricted and narrow minded.
>>75376569
Oh yeah for sure they like asking about personal things. My mental health, my weight, my relationships (that dont exist) etc. I think they're just more emotional like that and are comfortable speaking to other women about it.
>Women often ask a lot of loaded questions and can have hidden agendas so I feel as if I need to keep my guard up a bit more.
Occasionally. It seems to vary wildly for me. My old job had none of that shit. They were very work orientated and no bullshit.
Might talk about cooking or their families at break but aside from that we were stuck into work.
>>

indeed but I find this frustrating at times. They can be so stubborn and not open to teamwork or doing things different ways. They hardly want to discuss it and just are like "fuck this bullshit, lets just do it as fast as possible, hands on, don't give a fuck. I'm a hard worker but I like to approach things differently and make suggestions, come to a common agreement. But nope. They're all fuck it.

Perhaps I'm talking too much about the working environment only.

I generally spend €100-120 on a pair of jeans. Thats the most expensive piece of clothing I'll buy.
>>75377003
Again, it's subjective. If you think about the whole fashion catwalk stuff and rich celebs dressing in stupidly expensive dresses and spending thousands on some worthless diamond rock or watch then I agree.

It's not uncommon for men to spend upwards of a thousand on a suit for weddings you know? Masculine men that is. Those not into fashion.
>>75377110

I agree to an extent. But you don't have to go around dressed like a scruffy crusty to not be part of capitalist conditioning.

This seems like such an insecurity of yours. Why do you care about something that will not effect you in any way? You sound like a teenager who's consumed and is influenced by too much american and internet media.

As I said above. Go to any large city around the world. Nobody gives to fucks if you look "metro" (retarded word). In large cities EVERYONE is into fashion except for people in poor financial situations it seems.

Debatable but I do not know enough to argue this one out with you. I just think oppressive capitalist conditioning is threatening to freedom of expression and choice over how we identify.

if you've a budget, which you do, then there is inevitably going to be something that would be classified as overspending

>if you enjoy fashion as you do then you'll forego quality in exchange for the aesthetics or be forced to overspend for both
I'm a bit confused. But no you will not forego quality in exhange for aesthetics unless you're really ignorant and dont shop around.
You need to find the style and shape that will fit you best, find the right brand. For example hilfigure denim is the best fit for me in slim. It's perfect and very good quality. For similar or sometimes more expensive prices wranger, levis, or armani do not fit or suit my body type even with the same slim waiste and leg measurements.
Completely disagree that you will forego quality for aesthetics.
There is a balance.

I believe people should have the freedom to be who they want to be without societal restriction adjusting their personality. There's nothing wrong with very feminine girls or very masculine boys but equally the reverse. The problem occurs when a boy feels they "have" to act or dress or think a certain way to be an acceptable man.

Nonsense. Listening to your natural biology would be developing without restriction, being told you can't do certain things because of your gender and adjusting accordingly is not a healthy or natural development.
Women broke free of those shackles of narrow societal expectations in the 60s and its about time for Men to do the same. They're clearly the gender with the most rampant and significant mental problems which cannot be unrelated to society prohibiting them from being themselves.

Fair enough. anything over €150 for me would be overspending on jeans. Maybe i'd pay €200 if I found a godly pair of jeans but thats not going to happen.
But like, a €50 pair of jeans would be absolutely shite quality and fit in comparison.
No doubt about it. I've been there, done that. The difference between them is night and day. I shopped a lot and tried lots of clothes.
Whatever you're comfortable in I suppose. I'm sure you can look fine with €50 jeans but my tastes go beyond that and I don't feel comfortable without better quality materials and fit.

I wonder what would happen to the human race if we were all "free to choose" whether or not we become effeminate gaybois or not. Perhaps there is an intense pleasure and superiority in getting your butt fucked. What if all men recognise the inherent advantage in relation to bodily pleasures in this lifestyle and western europe as we know it collapses under the weight of a stronger, more vigorous group of people?

haha I'm talking shite but

>Listening to your natural biology would be developing without restriction
what the fuck does this mean? you develop without restriction if you "listen" to your natural biology? this is a bad thing why and what do you mean by it

> being told you can't do certain things because of your gender and adjusting accordingly is not a healthy or natural development.
why are you so obsessed with "being told" or [not] "listening to" these forces outside of your control?
boys "being boys" and girls "being girls" is more conducive to good mental health for the majority outside of a few outliers, because that fits what they're naturally disposed to, so surely encouraging them to conform to their 'gender roles' would be the best thing to do for them rather than confuse everything by raising them in a manufactured liberal bee urself atmosphere
so if you accept natural biology predisposing both sexes to the 'gender roles' we know of why do you consider it "not a healthy or natural development" for them to be encouraged to grow within those bounds?
I know for a fact many prominent feminists deny biology, like Butler
from a /lit/ thread on her:
>Her rejection of the essentialist outlook of gender as an expression of an underlying physically real sexual division that is naturally expressed boils down to 'she doesn't like it'. >She argues that physical sexual dimorphism is *created by* "heteronormative power" because the human body is a discursively regulated social construct, NOT a natural material entity

Women vote and as feminism grew they stopped merely selecting their husbands choice and voting on their own ideology. Women starting running for election and adopting positions of power as well. It had a huge impact in deflating aggression and military responses.

I get the same impression from you. I never said it had to be a full blown communist society either. Communism doesn't always have to manifest itself like the failed communist countries in this world, who were mostly sabotaged and destroyed with any means possible by the aggressive tactics of USA etc. US style capitalism is no better in my eyes.

It's mad to be how primitive and animalistic people think. We're humans the most intelligent species on the planet. We're well capable of not being controlled of neanderthal instincts that only served as a defense mechanism and to reproduce.
There's way more to life that you can enjoy. Don't suppress yourself. It must be a very angry and insecure lifestyle.

Imagine going down to Dunnes for a carton of Milk and seeing two types.
One is marketed as "milk for traditional Irish", it has homely packaging complete with shamrocks, cows and a smiling farmer. It costs €2
The other is marketed as "nu-milk" and features Panti Bliss, men of differing ethnicities in skinny jeans and Katherine Zappone on the packaging. It retails for €1.
Both contain identical milk from the same producer.

Which do you purchase? Bearing in mind you would be seen purchasing your choice by strangers and it would be noticed in your house by any visitors or people you live with. Also it is obviously a recurring purchase so multiply the cost difference by 100-200 or however often someone buys milk in a year.

Gender is more so a mental trait.

That gender is a social construct and like it says, the essentialist outlook of it is self evidently wrong with even a cursory investigation. The quote you used from /lit/ makes too many wrong assumptions and assertions too such as confusing "physical sexual dimorphism" (look it up) with socially constructed gender roles as a consequence of an assumption attributed to a biological sex and seems, like yourself, unable to separate gender and sex.

Your assertion that feminists reject biology seem to confirm that. That's the last thing a feminist does but you seem to have conflated sex and gender yet again two intrinsically linked states.
>>
>>75383226
Litrally everyone on medication that I've spoke to (including myself) has positive things to say.
Stop listening to people who aren't on them with their ignorant stereotyped view they got from TV.

>>
>>75384131
Fair enough, I'll leave it up to you to investigate those notions yourself, but consider the most basic and reductive qualities you can attribute solely to biological sex and if those qualities you seem to believe are intrinsically linked to gender are utterly and undeniably universal truths.

I'll set you going with the quality of being "maternal" and what society associates with that. It has certain qualities but if a man displays those same behaviours or qualities or attitudes by our society's concept of it would they not then be a mother? Or is that ridiculous?
>>
>>75384877
you mean the behaviour of looking after your young?
why don't you enumerate these qualities and behaviours beforehand to see if we can attribute them instead to a "masculine" quality
for the latter I'd say you could attribute that to being "fraternal" and fatherly

or do you mean something ridiculous and out-there like wanting to actually bear and have children come out of you, in which case there is simply something mentally wrong with such an individual
>>
>>75385146
>why don't you enumerate these qualities and behaviours beforehand to see if we can attribute them instead to a "masculine" quality
Why would that be necessary? It's not a binary.
>>
>>75385374
>Why would that be necessary?
because there are multiple things you could call "maternal" and they'd be something a man could do as well, like I said in my previous post
>>
>>75385494
>because there are multiple things you could call "maternal" and they'd be something a man could do as well
So you think that there's an overlap between gender roles? If so then the notion that gender and sex and intrinsically linked would surely be silly, since that can't possibly be the case.
>>
>>75384376
All anecdotes. Go find out for yourself. It will not damage you in anyway in the long run.
>>
>>75385671
no I'm saying traits associated with the maternal quality like looking after your young (the main one I suppose) aren't bound to that quality in such a way that no other quality can have such a trait, so to speak, and I know you don't believe that either since that'd be retarded
that's why I asked you to enumerate the traits of the maternal quality to see if I can simply associate them with a quality traditionally belonging to some masculine quality, which I don't think would be very hard at all
