Hey /int/, I'm playing as Champagne in eu4, and I'm about to form my first colonial nation. It's a few scattered provinces on the American East coast. I'd like French speakers/French posters to help give me ideas for colonies names
>guidelines
I'd prefer colony names to have some kind of champagne (wine) in them so that all my colonies can be types of champagne. Specifically for the American colony I want a "union" of something. Maybe like PĂ©rignon Union?
Also please provide the French version of a name and what it means in English. Thanks for helping guys

How about Baie-au-champagne for a costal town?
Call the union "AOC" which is a term that controls what can be called champagne or not.
For names look for "viticulteur" in the marne département, many champagne produceurs names should pop

Austrasia and Neustria (or 'Austrasie' and 'Neustrie' in modern French) were two of the oldest known Frankish kingdoms, formed after the death of Clovis in 511. The name 'Austrasia/Austrasie' more-or-less means 'Eastern Land'. 'Neustria/Neustrie' meanwhile means 'New Land' or 'New Western Land' depending on who you ask.
Both names are very old and are very historical. Neither has anything to do with wine though, unfortunately.
