They did, I'd say. The older graphics didn't have as much detail as we can actually see, but there's a limit to how good things can get before our eyes can't tell much of a difference, I think. (After all, you can't see individual molecules, for example.)

The graphical improvements after 2010's were mostly physics based, better hair rendering, better water rendering, better grass/trees rendering,better metal rendering, better skyboxes etc. They matter alot but isnt as easy to spot as the jump between 2000-2007

I never used a oculus so i cant really answer tbqh.
Only used the cheap (in retrospect ofc) gear VR ones.
The FPS in gear looked kinda low so i would guess its that and better graphics capability. (also oculus supports more games i think)

he literally just needed a guy to cut steel to some specific lengths with a grinder

it wasn't hard, just time consuming and we were slammed

at the time we were rushing to get a large (500-600 lb) japanese maple out of a row into a more open space so we could get it with a forklift into a truck, it was gonna take like 5 guys including me dragging the rootball out by a rope

he caught me on the way office when i had the rope in my hand so like 4 guys were waiting on me to do this one thing we'd all scrambled to do while we were super busy

so i asked him to wait a moment, i ran out with the rope and we moved the tree out (took 2 minutes) then had one of the new guys get on the grinder as i took his payment

guy was frustrated at that point and just grumbled about heading across the street to our greenhouse to look at some stuff while we cut it

it did take the new guys a while to get it done (i had to stop them from cutting the steel near our flammable job box full of oil and gas and other nasty chemicals) and it wasnt dont when he got back and he had to wait so he got bitchy

and this is all for something we don't normally do

I went to school in Los Angeles, always carried a pocketknife when I was out because of that kind of thing. Never had to use it on anybody, but I was in a pretty damn nice part of the city, probably at least 50% of the people around me were there because of the university.
