Get this, they make more PPP per capita than almost every nation except the USA and city-states ($48,000).
But the way they did this is by extensive currency undervaluation and booming off the Peoples Republic of China's economic growth. They are the worst currency manipulators in the world, but label their goods as "Made in China" to hide their manipulation.
That severe undervaluation is why the RoC nominal per capita GDP is only $23,000. Only 2.5 times as much as the PRC. It's also why their people work like slaves, have depression, kill themselves, and treat ASEAN workers like subhumans.
