So basically my view is that the dealings between countries is no better than squabblings of children. Every human shits and has boogers and nasty earwax. Similar thing with countries, so to act superior and morally correct than another is pretentious IMO.

Ultimately no 1 is better than another. If you look at nature you see some places have better access to sunlight and water than others. Some trees are taller than others. Some plants are beautiful but die young. Some plants are ugly but are survivors. If you observe those things you begin to understand humans and even countries a bit better and realize that it's all just nature going through cycles.

Sorry if i sound pretentious. Im not trying to sound smart or enlightened or anything. I consider myself fucking stupid actually.

i do agree that only using Hangul at this point has somewhat of a disadvantage in reading. the way to solve this problem is, of course by start using more and more pure Korean based, or foreign borrowed words like i mentioned, which we are doing currently.

Korean educational system is already crazy enough and it forces so much hard work on young students, it would be cruel to introduce them to learn something that is as complicated as Chinese characters just to read some words better. of course they can choose to do so if they want but the educational system should not enforce it in school, they already have enough shit to study about. what we should do now is to move on and ditch those old words and make our language independent from the Chinese influence. this is the benefit i am talking about.

the reality is this debate is been going on even in south Korea to this day, usually between the younger and older generation about whether to use Chinese characters with Hangul or not. i am fully aware of the opinions of our older generation on using Chinese characters like the article you linked that is written by a professor probably in his 80's.many of the older generations cannot adopt to rapid changes in society and fails to see an alternative to this problem, they are in other words very conservative towards this issue, on the other hand the younger generation who are somewhat free from the Chinese character disagrees the claims they make.(that is why i specifically said "except old fags" in my previous post).
