Got Chikun 2 years ago, fever only lasted a week but the moherfucking pain got me in fetal position 48 hours straight and my knuckles stopped hurting after one month.
I also go Zika last year, it wasn't as bad as Chikun but I dropped like 6kg in a week because of the fever.

Yes, but the incidence of chikungunya depens on multiple factors, like temperature, climate and height above sea level.

The mosquitoes that carry the disease are not able to survive past certain number of meters above sea level (1300 m, if I'm not mistaken), or in cold climates (if I remember well).

The city where I live didn't suffer many cases, but the town where I used to live, and that it's 50 km away, had many cases.
