It's easy when your opponent is a literal criminal.

Easy when the alternative is pic related.

Daily reminder that the majority of us Americans voted for Hillary. But democracy no longer exists in Donald Drumpf's Divided $laves of AmerKKKa

Trudeau is significantly worse.

I remember watching the returns on Election Night, and when they called Ohio for Trump, I could feel pretty confident that Hillary was not going to be president.

Simple: the Democrats chose to coronate the least likable politician in history as their candidate

Well when the other side ignores the workers who used to be the back bone of the party and he panders to them...
>>
A lot of factors managed to play into his favor.

>>75154828
I'm really hoping that the next Democratic primary is more competitive, but I'm not expecting much.
>>
>>75154408
Seriously didn't they have anyone better running?

>Daily reminder that the majority of us Americans voted for Hillary. But democracy no longer exists in Donald Drumpf's Divided $laves of AmerKKKa
>majority
55% voter turnout doesn't mean a majority voted for Clinton the 45% who didn't vote is actually the largest group.
>>
>>75154984
The only other alternative was a senile New England socialist, so no.
>>
I think it's hilarious that in the land of the free most people treat their presidents like dictators who are solely responsible for everything that is happening.
As if he's pulling all the strings, that's nonsense.
>>
>>75154941
the whole primary process within the party has already been revealed to be smoke and mirrors. Most likely they're grooming Cory Booker for a 2020 run to capitalise on Obama nostalgia, and if that fails (which it likely won't, unfortunately) they'll go with Gabbard in 2024.

>>literal criminal

>>never even been charged with a crime

American education folks.
>>
>>75155087
It's basically the same deal over here.
Behind every minister/president are >9000 officials who just do their jobs. The guy "in charge" still gives the direction and is responsible for the turnout after 4 years. You cannot deny that.

Even if he's a total dilletante.

>A lot of factors managed to play into his favor

1. Trump went after the working class vote in a big way
2. Hillary had 100 million scandals on top of her disastrous tenure as SoS
3. The media was 100% in the tank for the Democrat Party and created a circlejerk where they told themselves that victory was inevitable to the point where they thought they didn't even need to campaign in the Rust Belt because those states had been reliably Democrat for 30 years; surely there's no way they could possibly flip, right?
3. Hillary ran an elitist campaign which represented big banks/corporations/Hollywood, not average Americans--her celebrity friends like Barbra Streisand and Beyonce repeatedly insulted the latter and labeled them as stupid racist crackers
4. Hillary did not have a likable personality, she wasn't young, cool, or charismatic like Obama or her husband back in 1992, and listening to her speak was like nails on a chalkboard
5. Obamacare created a huge, hideous disaster for middle class Americans which Trump capitalized on
6. Hillary wasn't going to attract the black vote the way Obama did
7. Trump was not afraid of the MSM unlike the chickenshit conventional Republicans who live in fear of what CNN and the New York Times think of them
>>
>>75155103
That was revealed in 1968. No one believed me when I told them that Sanders was going to be the next Eugene McCarthy.

Booker wouldn't surprise me. I'm sure either their candidate or the vice presidential one will be black. I think it's less Obama nostalgia than a way to try and increase black voter turnout.
>>
Because those commie pieces of shits Russia.
>>
>>75155371
And one other thing. The Democrat base, especially Millenial voters, were dominated by Bernouts who felt that their messiah was robbed, which made them unmotivated to vote for Hillary.
>>
>>75155371
Trump was able to capitalize on a white demographic that felt they had been robbed of their power during the last eight years.
>>
>>75155371
>>75155580
There is some truth to the /pol/ memes about Hillary but I think that the majority of Trump voters just wanted to overthrow the establishment because of minor, local, personal reasons.

There was stagnation and standstill in a lot of citys and counties because people were afraid to adress obvious problems with security, education and freedom of speech.

Since you only got two parties the pendulum swinging is more devastating than here.

>>
>>75156362
Idk dude most of the young left wing voters are wise to Booker's nature as a spineless shill
>>
>>75155223
The US president isn't really that powerful. Their abilities are quite restrained compared to European leaders, especially in parliamentary systems.
>>
>>75156484
The young left isn't carrying anyone to the presidency. Booker can attract middle aged people (my dad is a fan) and black voters, and that's what matters. The young left also won't likely vote against him either.
