russian sounds melodic, perfect and I go weak in the knees when I hear it
I considered learning it for a few reasons:
>after 5 years or more I'd be able to read russian literature e.g. Pushkin, Bely, Mandelshtam (Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky are good enough in English)
>would be fun
>able to understand cute russian girls that do asmr videos in their native language whisper in my ear before I go to sleep
>impress my macedonian steam friend with cyrillic alphabet
>maybe even understand a bit of what my polish coworkers are saying

Both of these

reading books without using translations
having a hobby that gives you a new skill instead of just wasting time

Reading literature, mainly poetry, because so much is lost in translation.
I expect to migrate in the near future so knowing a few languages donĀ“t hurt
