serious answer: in order to maintain the illusion of a classless society formal dress is discouraged among those in high up positions in society. If anyone is forced to wear a suit it's probably a lower or middle level worker. those at the top are celebrated for wearing jeans and t shirts as it shows they're a 'man of the people' or whatever.
