Whats life really like in North Korea?

I'd imagine it would be pretty hard for anyone to answer this, considering how locked down the place is. You'd need a Korean defector for any sort of worthwhile anecdotes.
It is hard to take the mainstream media and their usually sensationalist bullshit "coverage" regarding the country, though.

To add: even one of the supposedly more reasonable American TV hosts sperged out when Trump said something not entirely negative about Kim Jong What-ever-the-fuck-his-name-is-now, saying that the leader is evil, period, implying anyone not saying otherwise must be some sort of bad person. That sort of emotive rhetoric just leaves a bad taste in your mouth, regardless of however fucked up or not fucked up certain things about their nation may or may not be.

There was a british anon on /brit/ a while ago who said he had watched everything he could on North Korea. Posted links to videos that were taken in North Korea on youtube. They were legit and obscure, not many views.
