We didn't really have any dangerous animals for the past 100 years. Maybe a rabid fox?
However, lately (2015-17) bears and fucking wolves started wandering from Slovakia/Romania/Slovenia into our country and those fucking morons in the Ministry are actually happy they came back.

Well I for one won't stand for it. My ancestors didn't exterminate those fuckers so a bunch of pansies can endanger everyone in the country with their irresponsibility. We don't need big predators in this country. They are a threat to people, have no beneficial effect on the environment, in fact, ever since wolves moved to the Tátras, they do terrible damage to our wildlife - stags, does and such.
They should be shot on sight.

Our most dangerous animal by killcount is the cow, followed by the Kangaroo. Our deadliest spider is the Sydney funnelweb, whose bite kills humans in 15 minutes. Our deadliest snake is the Taipan, which the most venomous bite of any land animal. We have several other hyper-deadly creatures in various categories but those are the most famous.

Say hello to the Brazilian wandering spider, they're 20x more toxic than black widows and they travel the world in banana boxes. Also they lay eggs in bananas, so if you ever have a buzzing banana in your house, walk away.
>>
>>74976412
>Are they really that common?
Yes. Dangerous ticks with an actual infection? No.
But the chances of getting one that will fuck you up is high enough that you should be very careful with tall grass etc when out in nature.
I get ticks on my clothes 2-3 times a week in summer when out hiking.
Most of the time I notice them before they attach them self.
Had them on my skin maybe 4-5 times, never gotten sick though luckily enough.

In New England in the Northeast US they are very common. Lyme carriers are only a handful of species in the disgusting bounty. I've had 3 family members get Lyme in the past year. 1 didn't get diagnosed early enough because her presentation wasn't textbook and eventually developed Lyme carditis which could have killed her.
>>
>>74976412
If it's an area with wild animals and wild deer in particular then there's a higher chance of finding ticks and it's more likely they'll have Lyme disease

In my home state there are only 3 venomous snakes. The copperhead and timber rattle snake are both endangered and you're liable to get fined for harassing if you get bitten.

The third is this pretty rear fanged guy that is harmless to people. They eat salamanders. Eastern ring neck snake.
>>
I don't know. Maybe a hare. They might do something.

>are you the guy with the island?

Damn double the pain.
Our vipers are not really endangered but still protected so killing or hurting a viper here will give you a massive fine.
Some dumb bitch on facebook was bragging and showing pics of vipers she had killed and got almost 4k in fines.
I have them on my property but they mostly leave people alone and keep rats and shit away so I don't mind. Just in spring after the winter hibernation that they become really aggressive.

Yeah it's venomed. Venomization is when you get injected with venom (though stingers, fangs, etc), Poisoned usually through consumption like breathing and eating, etc.

I wear layers of many clothes when out in the forest myself, I honestly dress up more in the summer than I do in the winter when hiking.

In the winter time I would go on with cargo scrubs or shorts and a tv shirt, in the summer I'm wearing long sleeves with hat, tall boots,. long cargo pants and the tallest socks I can get.

Wasp - "1. A social winged insect which has a narrow waist and a sting and is typically yellow with black stripes. It constructs a paper nest from wood pulp and raises the larvae on a diet of insects.

2.A solitary winged insect with a narrow waist, mostly distantly related to the social wasps and including many parasitic kinds."

wolves and bears don't bother humans usually. you can scare off a brown bear by yelling or just shoot it if it's too aggressive

I know the difference. It's just weird using it as a verb. In finnish it's just one word for poison and venom.

I was bedridden for a week, couldn't use a computer because the light from the screen made me sick, even the small TV I had in my bedroom was set to the lowest brightness because of photophobia. And I felt sore all over.

Hedgehogs are often covered in them, the dirty assholes literally drain the poor fucked to death. If i can i catch them and remove the tick with an adequate ustensil (you have to be careful to remove the ehad along with the body or it will grow back).
Then i put them in a glass with some alcool and set fire to it.

This, holy shit. We only have 1 venomous snake species. You don't even die from it and they are rare as fuck even in their small areas.

Ticks and fleas are also commonplace in rural areas, but they rarely cause disease and you can get rid of them pretty easily.

I'm more afraid of touching a jellyfish or stepping on a weeverfish while having muh funs at the beach. None of these have happened to me though, and they're not deadly, just very uncomfortable according to what people told me.

Never seen a snake desu. My grandparents, having lived all their lives in the rural areas, have dealt with ticks, snakes, centipedes, and say they're no big deal.
Spiders here are no big deal either. But I'm always about to panic when there's a wasp around.
>>
>>74961181
It's not this species that invaded France you enormous faggot. Your picture actually shows Vespa mandarinia.

EVEN THE GUY IN THE VIDEO MISTAKES THE EUROPEAN HORNET WITH THE ASIAN HORNET

THEY LOOK NOTHING ALIKE

THIS IS BECAUSE OF IDIOTS LIKE YOU AND HIM THAT NATURE IS DESTROYED

Fun story, we had a hornet's nest on my parent's house on the roof for nearly a year. They never attacked anyone. You suck and this fucking guy too.
>>
>>75005510

>>75005584
It depends. The European hornets aren't agressive but everyone is scared of them because they're big. And it's why they're quite threatened as a species...
But yeah it all depends if you get agressive with them or not. They just react to stimuli after all, not much more than that.

Oh yeah. I've been stung by a spiderfish in a beach, but that's just 10 minutes of pain. I've had fleas, which are just annoying as all hell, and ticks are just disgusting. Wasps as well just hurt for a bit, and bees don't even cause a reaction anymore, desu. Living in the countryside toughens you up, desu.

Portuguese Man o'Wars are pretty supposed to be excruciatingly painful, but we ironically don't even have them here.

Both hornets are in the same genus. Vespa velutina is an invasive asshole though.

Vespa crabro was introduced into the US but for the most part people don't notice them. They stick to forests and don't often show up in suburbs and such.

Vespa crabro are real bros anyway. They never attack even if you're real close.

Asian hornets, now, are aggressive as fuck. Last summer I was near the beehives at my parents' house and one flew to my eyes and stopped at 1cm for no good reason. Fucking assholes insects, worse than wasps.

Ticks, vipers, lynx, bears and boars in all honor, the most terrifying animal in the Swedish woods is the fucking moose.
Extremely aggressive, completely retarded animals.
And when a 600+ kg bull comes crashing through the woods like a giant wrecking ball , you run. You run fast.
They also cause hundreds of car accidents every year. And they will crush a normal car. And the people in it..
>>
>>75017236
I'll probably shit myself if i stumbled upon a moose with his skin hanging from his antlers in the middle of nowhere.
>>
>>75018148

>>
>>75017236

>>

I guess wasps if your are allergic.
none of the spiders are poisonous, or bite hard enough to penetrate skin
>>
>>75018419
>just about everyone has guns here
Here as well. Sweden is one of the most gun-dense countries in Europe. 300 000 hunters, 700 000 registered guns. For a small population.
I own shotguns and rifles but a moose can still fuck you up.
Most accidents happen because moose can be silent as ghosts. Until they are over you.
And a .308 doesn't always drop them on the first shot. Even if you hit the golden zone.
>>
>>74976412
I've been bitten two or three times, but removed them within 30 minutes. didn't get any infection though. I think it's pretty rare to get borrelia/lymes disease

European hornets look like huge fucking bees. HUGE FUCKING BEES (like 2 inches long)
these guys kill wasps, small wasp, those stingy wasps, they eat the angry manlet wasps.
EU hornets are good guys.
