True, and people living today can relate to those who lived before them, I agree to that. But it is also a case for Ukrainians. Ukrainian history might not be how they would like it to be (and my country had some fault in that) but there is a history of it. Their language didn't appear yesterday, they have some customs, regional dress codes, even really nice cuisine. If you don't like Ukraine as a country, well, you have your right to do so, but it doesn't mean it's not a real country.
