Why does Bethesda hate good games

Y'all ever feel like the advice they give to people working in customer service couldn't be any wronger? I filed a support ticket on a site the other day and I've gotten three emails:

- one automated email to let me know it was received
- an email thanking me for my 'continued patience and cooperation' less than 12 hours later; I didn't do shit
- an email that opens with 'thank you for your patience' and closes with 'I appreciate your patience', telling me they have to pass it on to the next support tier because it's 'complex'

I don't need to be thanked for my patience twice every goddamn day, just let me know when you figure shit out.

A big thing that annoyed me about that game was that there was no way to just blatantly abuse game mechanics in the late game like you could in Morrowind and Oblivion. No spell crafting and no enchanting rings to fortify your acrobatics skill by 300 and then leaping over whole cities. Also no drinking 100 bottles of skooma and then running like the Flash through the countryside.

Yeah, this. I'm always amazed at how inept the support for some companies is. Apple was the last company I'd expect to be like that, but when I've had issues with the iTunes Store I had to email them about, it took a good four emails before they actually understood the problem. Like, did you fucking read the first three? It was just as clear in those.

Naturally, they pad out their emails with the shit they're told to say. "I understand that [you're having a problem other than the one you described]. This must be causing you a lot of [negative emotion]. I can certainly help you with this today."

Nope, because y'all can't read. I don't want your sympathy, just learn to read and tell me what I need to do to fix it.

Basically I live on the top floor of my building and the wiring the lower floors had to the internet cables under the street hadn't been extended up here yet. What each technician came prepared to do was to connect my router to the already existing wiring in the hallway, which I expressly said didn't exist and wouldn't need their help doing anyway if it did.

Then the technician would show up, with the wrong tools, and give me an explanation that he wasn't prepared properly for the job at hand and would need to come back another day with different tools. Being as polite as possible is just way for companies to cover their asses while telling you "tough shit" or "it's your fault dumbass." Since your conversation might go public.

Basically it's in our best interest to be overbearingly sweet as possible. Also for every reasonable person like you who can wait several hours for an email we have people who will email us multiple times in an hour trying to get in touch with us rather than try any obviously faster method of communication. Played piano for many years (since I was, like, 3?) and wanted something more portable. A piano accordion seemed logical.

In the end, I had to get a little roller cart to wheel it around on in its case, as it's too heavy (~23 pounds, plus case) to carry around for long periods of time. Found that out the hard way when I tried carrying it a couple miles to class one day. Nearly dropped it, had to grab my pen in a fist to write my name (y'know, like a 2-year-old does) because I couldn't fucking move my fingers. Took an Uber to get it back to my apartment, a couple blocks from campus.

Eventually I wanna also get a compact/lightweight model that I could carry in a padded bag or something.
