Who would your country look to in defense in the event of an attack?

Not surprisingly, the US trusts the Brits

>Looking to us for help
Mate you'd have to be pretty fucking desperate. We have a few pistols in an attic somewhere and a Ford Fiesta we could turn into a technical, that's about it.
>>
>>74854687

Don't underestimate the power of a mechanised regiment of dippy chavs with their Citroen Saxo's.

Don't understand the latter half of this. Glad we speak the same language.

Speak American please I can't understand you

>everyone wants the biggest strongest guy to back them up
shouldn't surprise me at all

A better poll would ask Americans "what countries should American soldiers die to protect?".

>Russia
Why are people so retarded that they think Russia is even remotely capable of fighting a real war?
Their country is falling apart as is. They couldn't even properly wage a war on Ukraine.
You know what country their GDP is comparable to? Fucking Mexico.
Russia is a paper bear ran by a guy that is going to be killed the moment (if) he steps down because of all the people he's pissed off.

THE WHELP that nipped its mother’s dug in turning from her breast,
And smacked its lusty lips and built its own lair in the West,
Has stretched its limbs and looked about and roared across the sea:
“Oh, mother, I did bite thee hard, but still thou lovest me!”

She lifts her head and listens, as waking from a dream,
Her great jaw set, her claws outspread, her lion eyes agleam;
The voice is deep as thunder on the far horizon rim,
And up the mother spoke and said: “It can be none but him!”

Cried England to America: “My ancient love abides,
And the old Trafalgar courage still upon the ocean rides.”
America to England spake: “The God of Liberty
Goes with us marching up the land and sailing down the sea.”

And the twain are joined for hunting,—let all the packs beware,
The tiger’s kith, the panther’s kin, the race-hordes of the bear.
They two step forth together, God’s hand has struck the hour,
All pathways lead to freedom, each foot-step broadens power.

The world is still in dull amaze, agape and dazed to hear;
There is a rustling of the thrones, uneasy far and near,
King leaning unto king, and on Oppression’s hateful lips
A pallor as the wind brings in the booming of the ships.

And who shall cower, who recoil, or choose the craven’s tack,
And strain the law (by heroes made) to hold his country back?
Ah, who? Let children lisp his shame and women cry him down
What time our glorious banner waves o’er stormëd tower and town.

The star is up, the star of splendor, never to set or wane;
The flag leads on, the flag of glory, never to turn again;
And where it goes we cheer and follow, no man of us will fail;
We all are where our armies camp and where our navies sail.

World-conquering mother, hard we bit in parting from thy breast;
Yet still we smack our lusty lips and love thy milk the best;
For the blood our mother gave us is the true imperial strain;
She bore one cub, one only, but it wears the lion’s mane!

I would be really surprised if Americans agreed in majority to die defending Israel. I know it is ironic, we are doing it now. But we would all believe they should give their own lives for their nation--we just make sure they remain in control of their area.

I think the only countries Americans should die defending besides our own, are the UK, Australia, and France...People would try to gain support for defending Poland...but it would fall short
Everyone else is on their own.

>we would have to protect Canada and Mexico for obvious reasons...but these countries are not good to us
>>
>>74854867
>"what countries should American soldiers die to protect?".
Japan, South Korea, Taiwan(to some extent), Australia, and NATO countries as per our constitutional duty to uphold all treaties we sign.
Maybe a few others I missed.
>>
>>74854771

The only countries that would get away with attacking Turkey would be US/EU/NATO so makes sense.
>>
>>74855411
I think if the option "nobody but ourselves" was available, it would be the most popular.
>>
>>74855411
What do you mean Canada isn't good to us
>>
>>74855486
You are probably right.
But what does it mean for this country, its future, and about its people, if atleast the UK does not have that majority of opinion?

It would feel like we have become a 3rd world shithole filled with non-European ethnicities that have ruined our country...which is all true already.

It's a proxy war.

By your logic US can't wage war either since their proxies in Syria are getting btfo.
>>
>no zealand
>>
>>74855514

Canadians don't actually like us from what I have experienced, and never have, I lived there and everyone obsessively talks shit about the US, daily.
And in the last 10 to 15 years they have changed so much that they need to rename the country.

They just aren't Canada anymore. I feel like Canada has died.

>>It's a proxy war.
It's not a proxy war if it's right on your border and everyone knows you're sending soldiers there, dipshit.
>>
>>74855551
>But what does it mean for this country, its future, and about its people, if atleast the UK does not have that majority of opinion?
just a thought, maybe we shouldn't worry about what happens outside North America?

Canada and Mexico should be protected as they are our biggest trade partners, but should young American men and women who swore to uphold the constitution die in Europe or Africa?

>>74855460

Treaties are optional though

We as Americans can vote in people, who will in turn vote to pull out of those treaties.

Do you not think unburdening our country is a good idea?
>>
>>74855643

So? The main forces there are Ukr seapratists and Russia aids them. US also sends soldiers(spec-ops) to Syria and Iraq to fight, even though it's in Middle East.

>Change that and we'll follow you again
nobody cares about you here,

One of the reasons Trump was elected was because he promised to actively fuck you guys over. This was considered a good thing to at least half of the US.

If your country was seriously in trouble from an invasion, we'd end up taking half your land again.

protip: we don't do budgeting in spring, that was an emergency budget that was already largely decided last year to give a little wiggle room for the new president.
>>
>>74855610
The fuck are you talking about? We give you shit because your politicians and people constantly make stupid decisions. Canada is the same as it ever was, but the US has gone full retard since the 2000's. Even if our country has changed, then it's because that's what countries do. They change.

This is why we hate you. (But not really we'd still have your back in almost any military or political situation)

I think someone angry he won't be able to climb a wall.

You are "bound" to protect LatAm too...or at least you were until the Afghanistan invasion. You tried to evoke this treaty, but nobody gave a shite for obvious reasons.
