I'm so glad Portugal won.

The guy seemed like the only person in the competition who wanted to play genuine music and not gratify a target audience of 14-25 year olds.
His vocals were great, but the rest of his performance was almost like "let's put an autist infront of thousands of people and see what happens". Which isn't bad, because I wanted to hear music and not see an action movie. It's a song contest, after all.

There were other good songs too (I liked Moldova, Italy, Croatia), but Portugal was really unique.

Also, I don't think that the winner is an arrogant prick. He is completely right with his view on fast food music.
There is so much shit produced and promoted only for making $$$ and so much good music going unnoticed because the artists are not 'stars'.

The biggest problem with today's music is that people only hear songs, but never really listen to them.
Music that deviates from bland pop or pop/rock or electronic stuff might need a few listens to appreciate (even if you don't like the genre), but nowadays, if a song isn't instantly catchy, it is dismissed by most people. These people often say they 'like all kinds of music'.
So the music industry promotes and encourages music that is completly replaceable with the next best chart song and we get another Eurovision with 90% boring music. (I don't want to say trash, because trash music can be very fun)

Yesterday was a win of music against plebs and against an industry exploiting plebs.
