I got bad news for you son. We bulldozed everything in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Now it's all just strip malls and parking lots like the rest of America. New Orleans still has the French quarter and that's literally it. Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Houma, etc are all +60% black and just Walmarts, McDonalds, and parking lots. There is nothing old and original left.

You're wrong. I live in a city with 30k people about 45 mins outside of New Orleans and we don't even have a single French Restaurant. Trust me, I've tried looking for one. The closest we have is Cajun but it's just burgers, bbq, and some seafood.
