left normally, right if counting up (while listing things for example)
the real important question comes when you get to numbers 6+. Do you use two hands like a toddler, or one hand like the future masters of the world?
2, because I don't want to stress my muscles and because I'm not retarded

I've seen this before. I'm not sure if this is common among most Chinese, or if it's just sign language for deaf people.

There's something wrong with my hand muscles, it hurts my two outermost fingers (ring and little finger?) if I clench them and have the others straight. Showing "4" by just bending my little finger is literally impossible. With "3" it works, but I can still feel the strain.

This is how I count four. I literally can't do it the normal way. If I raise my ring finger the pinky automatically follows it.
1
2 doesn't even make any sense. You raise your index figer for 1, your middle finger for 2, your ring finger for 3 and pinky finger for 4.
The thumb ruins it.
>>74751962
isn't it like that for most people? can't do it either
>>74752293
actually I can but not only the ringer finger*
>>74752293
I had to take my own photo because I couldn't find any on Google of people counting to four this way. So apparently not. It also implies starting all your counting with the thumb. Thumb, index, middle, pinky, ring.
>>74751962
that's really more comfortable than keeping your thumb down for 4?
>>74752029
it makes sense for me since my other fingers will rise unless I'm using my thumb to press them into to my palm.
