What do you mean by interesting place? If you mean earthporn then my town have this fjord (among others), and hundreds of mountains surrounding the area, all of which are pretty in their own right - some of them are outright fantastic looking.

The church tower in the center of my city is the exact geographical middle point of the country.

If you would draw box around the border and mark the middle this would be it.
