What do Western people think about Chinese characters?
It's shit.
Shit
dumb
Pointless and archaic.
I find Kanjis even more retarded in Japanese because they have a writing system that could spell how these kanjis are pronounced anyway so why the fuck keep them.
>>74686384
because combining three different writing systems and occasionally using the latin alphabet just makes so much more sense
>>74686384
I think the same thing.
It is inconvenient but it is very cool for ornamental purposes.

this

Pretty cool.

Can you even speak 中文?? You cannot replace the characters because nobody would know which shi chi zhi you were referring to. It could mean one of a 100 words...

But it referred to japs, xiao

I think they have their good points, namely being able to understand a text regardless of its age and the reading speed one can achieve if he masters them, but they take terribly long to learn and having 50 signs with almost the same exact meaning doesn't help

>Australian flag
>Chinese poster

Aesthetically pleasing.
Pragmatically useless.
>>74685748
Inefficient.

Written language has evolved throughout history. Nowadays we describe 3 or 4 forms of writing as evolving steps. The western alphabet is the most modern, while the east asians scripts are one of the earliest methods still in use.
As a resume: it's shit.
