It feels a lot more results driven than process driven to an extent where nobody even really cares how you arrived at an eventuality so long as you got there. I would say the biggest atmosphere difference is you feel a lot more in competition with your co-workers while in Irish companies you feel a lot more like a team. We have things like performance results of the team sent around in a group email to try and shame those at the bottom through praising those at the top. Things like that are much more private in Irish companies.
They do some very specific overbearing things as well but I'm not sure if thats an American thing or just this company.

There are some Americans working here but they're grand and well settled in the area. We have to connect with teams abroad sometimes for projects but all the Americans I've dealt with are fine and very laid back. The French team are more serious but helpful and the Aussies are absolute cunts.

My view is that I'm favourable to immigration on the condition that they integrate and view themselves as Irish. I think it would be problematic to fill Ireland with people who don't ever want to consider this place their home.
