In the end it all depends on where you go, there are probably some pizzerias in us and other european country that make better pizza than places here in italy but i assure you if you go to the right places you will never go to a chain again, mass produced food is shit everywhere

So I worked at an Italian owned pizzeria in Connecticut. The owner was an Italian born in Italy was raised in Italy and spoke Italian more fluently than English. His pizza was among the best I've had, I asked him once if the pizza in Italy was better and he replied it was the same as his but with less abundance of ingredients. I think that's what makes American pizza so special, the abundance of food.
