North Dakota and Ohio

I've spent a minimum of a week in every state and the Dakotas, Virginias and Pennsylvania have been the comfiest for me. Nevada was decent too once you go the fuck away from Vegas.

Anywhere in the US outside of Florida and California felt livable as long as you stay away from cities. People everywhere are pretty friendly in my experience.

Fuck Florida.

Vermont 2bh. There are other states like Montana that have an even more breathtaking nature, but I'd rather live around alternative hippies than around meth heads. Also the climate and weather aren't as severe this close to the maritimes.

On the mention of Idaho I think it might be quite nice if you don't mind forest fires. But I think there's a difference between passing through Mormon country and eating at a Mormon restaurant, and actually having to live among Mormons full time and agree on communal values with them.
