The Japanese call Chinese people "chankoro" which means "Qing slaves". This term was created back when the Chinese were ruled by the Manchus. If they were the same people then why would such a term be used?

Han immigration to Manchuria started early during the Khitan Liao, when the Liao Dynasty in the 11th century started to move Chinese into Liaodong/western "Manchuria"

Looks like the Manchus got reverse-cucked into extinction. Seems that in East Asian cultures, the most important thing is to preserve the legacy of your ancestors. In terms of that, the Manchus failed miserably and are basically a complete failure of a race considering that they completely lost their identity, culture, and heritage. I wonder if the ancient Manchus would think the Qing Empire would be worth it if they knew about the future extinction of their people.

only 10% are probably related to the original aristocracy, still they would already be mixed with han chinese

the closest you would get to an actual manchu would be if they were mixed with mongols or siberians and lived far north in the russia-china border. but they number less than 100,000

you would find even more chinese outside china claiming they were manchu even if they had like one han slave of a han bannerman grandpa (these were actually classified as manchus by the PRC. if you even had one bondservant grandparent of a han bannerman, you were eligible to be classified as a manchu)

Modern people who claim to be Manchus are the equivalent of whites in America claiming to be 1/64 Cherokee or such nonsense. Actual Manchus are extremely rare.
