I used to go to another place called Kidzone in North Dublin frequently enough as a kid. I don't think it's that weird or debilitating to opt out of facebook. I used it around the time it was becoming popular so have an account with school friends and family on it but I haven't signed into it in more than 5 years. I hate being always contactable and I hate smalltalk so it was an absolutely nightmare being stuck in positions of getting messaged or poked by relatives or old friends I haven't seen in years. It didn't contribute anything for me and made me feel anxious to use.

Yes that's why I added nobody to the account, anyone I would add would just be old friends I haven't seen in years or just family members. I think there's a thing where you can hide who you're friends with but your friends might be able to see the friend list, I don't know, in that case it would be worse. It's there as a ghost account if I ever feel I need it in the future, but until then I'll pretend it doesn't exist, there's nothing on it which would trace it to me anyway.
