Can you tell me the best city in the world to live in?
I want to move to New York or Los Angeles but I start to think about things like earthquakes and disasters by the water.
Which city in the world has renown, productivity, good living, and relative safety from natural disasters?

dont move to LA. we're like so long overdue for the "big one" earthquake.. that and they recently discover a new fault line that literally runs thru all of urban LA and DTLA. death awaits us. don't come here
>>
London, Ontario.
>>
Sydney or Melbourne

do u think an escape from earthquake la can become fun after the initial shock

Mogadishio,Somalia.

honest answer? nobody does anything. had a sizeable quake awhile back while in the library once. i just looked to the dude sitting near me, made eye contact, both of us nodded to each other to acknowledge the earthquake, and went back to studying. all the buildings eventually got evacuated for a bit tho

it happens, you get used to it. nobody cares much. everyone ends up posting EARTHQUAKE on normiebook when one happens. most buildings are up to code so not crazy damage expected iirc... but they keep discover new fault lines running thru major urban areas here and we really are long long long overdue for a big one, so who knows, could be playing hopstoch to hell which does sounds fun

This. I don't think we are in any danger of an "earth shattering" earthquake any time soon. Sometimes I will just get a random text asking if I felt the "huge earthquake just now" and I have no idea what they are talking about because I didn't feel shit.

Though I wouldn't move to LA. Were teetering pretty close to societal collapse since the groundwater we depend on is being depleted entirely (which nobody seems to be noticing), and we can't be taking in even more people.

Berkeley California. There some fag will smash you over the head with a bike lock.

heres some nice local facts: (1) that bridge, pretty sure thats the 6th st brdige, got demolished for a newer one cause there was a fissure in it and was unsafe iirc; (2) lots of commercials gets filmed in that "river"; (3) red hot chili pepper's under the bridge song is around the corner

Even though he is memeing, never go to Berkeley. The danger is vastly overblown but the problem is that it is one of the most self-important and pretentious areas in California. They think because they had the first UC then they have the ONLY UC, and generally think they are better than everyone else. My sister took a campus tour there and all they did was talk shit about other schools.

Well at least we still have the 4th Street bridge, for now.

yea, its a really iconic bridge. tons and tons of movies got filmed there. there's also 7th st bridge which connects to the funner part of the arts district (pour house, little bear, etc.)

pasadena bridge still my favorite and if you do the trails under it you get to see all the old bridges thats not in used and abandoned right under it. plus filthy filthy rich people live there so nice place to try to snab someone

Which is funny because the movies that feature these bridges are always trying to pretend the area isn't poor as fuck.

I have passed by the Pasadena bridge (I think its called the Colorado St Bridge) before on the freeway but I never knew there were trails that got right around it. Now I have to go there.
