They revived a dead language to distinguish themselves from other germans, it was mostly a political and religious matter (Czechs were primarily protestant while the basburg were catholic) similar to what ended up dividing Netherlands from belgium.

1. hitler tried to form a german-polish alliance for several years, when pilsudski was still in office and afterwards. pilsudski rebuked him. when pilsudski died the successor government allied with the english and french in exchange for promised german territories.

It's the other way around actually.
The Czechs and Sorbs and Poles were there first.
In fact basically all of East Germany used to be inhabited by West Slavs until German settlers colonized it during the middle ages.
Cities like Berlin and Dresden were slavic settlements originally and the names are of slavic origin.
