Impressive waste of lives, time, and money.
It gave us some good movies/tv shows
first terrorist war in the human history
I'm sure the result would be different if it happened today.

You know, you've got a point. It happened before I was even born. How do I know I can trust the history books if I wasn't there to see it?

A huge embarrassment and bad policy when it comes to the government the US supported. AFAIK, South Vietnam was a dictatorship just as bad if not worse than the North.
The flag of South Vietnam is still used in Asian supermarkets here in my area.

I think it was more akin to Marcos's Phillipines or Batista's Cuba. Not great but it could have been worse. The leader was essentially a dictator and robbed the country but business went on as usual. I may be off but I don't think South Korea was the most democratic nation in the beginning.

I wish I could have served there as an American soldier

>world's history is a lie because I wasnt there
Ultimate redpill

Couldn't care less about the war per-se, interests me more because 1) it showed that people give a flying shit about others 2) Gave Pol Pot the chance to go ape-shit and fucked the other Southeastasian nations as well 3) Made China the way it today is with Nixon sucking them balls
