How's life in Panama?
What are the differences between Panama and its neighbours?
>>73990435
>How's life in Panama?
It is okey. Though, there is a lot of inequality. So there is quite a lot of people living in poor/insecure conditions. About 19% of the population is poor. But if you are middle class or up, you have a pretty good life quality.
>What are the differences between Panama and its neighbours?
Well, Costa Rica has less inequality but it is a little less develope in general. They are very friendly. Costa Rica, as a country, has been a very good neighbour aswell. Their acent is diferent and their way of talk is quite calming when compared with the caribbean acent that most panamanians have.
With Colombia is complicated. Since we were united to them, Panama shares a lot of elements with Colombia, naturally. But Panamá was allways the most remote and isolated from Bogota place in all of Nueva Granada. To this day there are no land routes that connect Panama and Colombia and back then it was easier to get from Panama to Lima than to travel to Bogota. So we have a lot of diferences with them, our accent is diferent, our music is diferent, our food is different, so on and so forth.
>Panama
Isn't it a weird mix of Chinese, Pajeet, Latinos, and the Caribbean?
>panama
american waterway?
>>73992250
It is a weird mix of South Europeans, Amerindians, Afroantillanos, and Chinese
>>73992271
>South Korea.
It is not like we were less of an American colony than you. 2bh.

>>73992662

>>73992792
Chinese people are everywhere mate
>>73992792
They came for the construction of the canal and the transistmic railroad. And a lot of them are still coming, to this day.

I think it is just the misconception most Canadians and Burgers have about their countries being the only ones in America which got immigrants from all over the world during the 19th and 20th century. They basically thin Latin American people completely descend from the colonial population.
>>73988210
how's your canal doing?
>>73993732
It is doing fine. Injecting billions to the economy. :)
Panamá is chilean clay
>>73993858
y-yes.
BUMP
Why are posters from this country so annoying to Brazilians?
The most important part and the one that produces almost all of the GDP is the interoceanic region (Around the canal) :
>Provinces of Panamá, Colón, and Panamá Oeste.
>The canal.
>Logistic hub (Ports in both oceans, Train that connects both ports, Highway that connects both oceans).
>Hub de las Americas (Aeropuerto de Tocument, home of Copa Airlines).
>Financial services (Financial center with more than 90 banks).
>The only mayor city in the country (Ciudad de Panamá)
>More than half of the population lives here.
>Panamá Viejo, Casco Antiguo, Camino de Cruces, Fuerte San Lorenzo and Portobelo are some important historical sites.
Coclé:
>Cool province with somewhat mountainous regions and nice beaches.
>Penonomé is the capital of the province with somewhat cool weather.
>Antón is near the beaches. The Valle de Antón is a small town with a mountainous weather.
>Natá and Aguadulce are other important towns in the province.
Azuero:
>Provinces of Herrera and Los Santos are the more Hispanic with a population of mainly European ancestry.
>The economy here is based on livestock.
>Even thought, with the exception of a few towns, life is rural; standards of living are pretty high here.
>Chitré, capital of Herrera, is the biggest city in Azuero.
>La Villa de Los Santos is a small town in Los Santos with great historical importance.
>Las Tablas, capital of Los Santos.
>Pedasí is a very touristic town with beautiful beaches.
>Guararé is another interesting town in Los Santos.
>>73994783
Don't know. Some Panamanians can be really uneducated. Being more proud than they are entitle to. It is one of the things I kind of dislike about this country.

Veraguas:
>Only province with two oceans.
>They have mountainous regions.
>They have a lot of livestock going on here.
>It´s capital and largest town is Santiago.
>Second largest town is Soná
>San Francisco de la Montaña is a small town in mountainous Veraguas, with a beautiful baroque church.
Chiriquí:
>Best highlands in the country.
>David, the capital, is one of the biggest towns outside the interoceanic region.
>Some mountain towns include Boquete, Cerro Punta, and Volcán
>They used to have a railroad network, but not anymore.
Boca del Toro:
>They have some of the best beaches.
>Beautiful islands. 10/10 must visit.
>Also used to have a railroad network, but not anymore.
Darien and the comarcas:
>Don not go in here.
>Except for Kuna Yala. The beaches are worth it.
