educational videos. when you first look at their youtube page it might seem superficial, scroll around there are a lot of really good videos that will give you a basic understanding of some key concepts (also they are fun to watch).

also, start browsing boards like /sci/, /his/, and /lit/. good luck

if you have the opportunity go somewhere with no other distraction. trains are good for me, or the beach. could even be a cafe, take music but not something with lyrics ,leave the 4g on your phone off and you are set.

for me i started hanging out in /lit/ and read a lot of greek philosophy, after i was done with that i started studying the history of Scotland (that interested me because my ancestors are from there). Lately I've been just been going down the list of books on opensyllabus and watching world history videos on khanacademy. i also watch videos from the youtube page i mentioned. On the backburner I'm trying to learn Scots Gaelic and also doing math videos from khanacademy (I kind of suck at math)

It's not too bad. There are packages of code you can use that other people have made (http://slides.com/timsanteford/conquering-commander-js https://github.com/fluent-ffmpeg/node-fluent-ffmpeg) otherwise it would require a lot more code.

As to how to make your own packages, I've never done that but I think you just make sure you have a proper package.json (npm init to generate it) and use the 'npm publish' command. More indepth here: https://medium.com/@jdaudier/how-to-create-and-publish-your-first-node-js-module-444e7585b738
