As a corsican this pisses me off. If Corsica has to belong to any country it should be France. I honestly feel closer to occitans than italians.
You could also say that Alsace, Lorraine, Brittany, Roussillon and the Pays Basque or even all of Occitania at this point should be independant because they don't speak the same language but you are wrong. The France of the Revolution has the same shape as today. Any part of the country who participated in the Revolution belongs to the country, forever.
