Purest Form of Love Edition
>>
>>73912906
if love is unpure is not love. if love is pure is not love. so what you're implying can't be love. that's what that expression means about intentions and paving roads to hell, but it only applies to lobotomized pokemons who always try to bottle for the rest of us something that appears as something to them, but always end up bottling genies. For snake oil peddlers it's entirely different story.

Is it both ears or just one.

I've been having hearing problems in my right ear for nearly 2 years now.
It goes away for a few months, then I wake up in the morning and all of a sudden it's blocked up with shite
>>

a couple of drops with an eyedropper
>>
>>73915790
It was in both ears for a while but the right one is mostly fine now. The left ear is clogged almost all the time with brief moments of opening then closing again.

There's an over the counter syrup you can get from pharmacies that thins the mucus in your head to make it easier to dislodge. I've had something like that for a few weeks before but taking that for a few days and then lying on the side opposite to the blockage eventually sorted it out.

I fucking hate the countryside. I grew up in it, you live 50 miles from anyone, you need travel 40 minutes just to get milk or bread behind a tractor on shitty roads. Fancy a take out? Well no one delivers. Do you like going out? Well walk to the local in the rain and muck on shitty roads where everyone speeds and drink drives or get a taxi out ot the town just for 40€ both ways. Get used to the smell of shite and midges eating your scalp. OH NO! Having a heart attack? Well that ambulance will be out in 2 hours try not to die, might as well shitpost to kill time on your Australian tier internet that you are paying €50 a month for

It doesn't really matter that much anyway, the whole reason for this assembly was just because FG didn't want to call a referendum on the issue themselves as they'd piss off some of their voters, this method lets them call a referendum because the assembly recommeneded it instead, it was likely filled with people who want a referendum to get a referendum called.

That's one of the problems with a party system, they'll always go with the party line, a citizens assembly is democratic and it was always going to end in a referendum, now people will feel like it was a public choice.
I'm glad it didn't go for the free for all path of flat out repeal, yes people have a right to bodily autonomy but that doesn't mean control over anothers body i.e. The foetus. It'll be interesting to see what happens next, the next vote is for it being a constitutional change or leaving it in the hands of the Oireachtas which will be back to party lines etc.
>>

>That's one of the problems with a party system, they'll always go with the party line
That's a bigger problem in Ireland as every party has a strong whip here, anyone who votes against it is out of the party for anything here, most other countries have parties which are less severe than that where you can go against the party on numerous issues and still be in it. I'm happy there's a referendum though.
We'll see what happens next, I hope they don't recommend all out repeal, I'd be fine with something like >>73923297

Why? We're getting a pretty good deal out of the EU in its current form.

That's more of a problem with us as Ireland is trying to base its economic prosperity by riding on the coattails of the rest of the world, if there's another global recession Ireland will be very badly hit. Some reforms would benefit us too if they try and stop the trend towards tax harmonistation or an EU military.

To a sense, yes, but thinking about it he's more the candidate for the vested interests who want to get involved in the political system, not just the banking sector.

I just think in the long run it's going to go down a bad road if they want to keep the trend of taking powers away from the countries in it and centralising around Germany, that won't benefit Ireland long term if it effectively becomes a German vassal state. If that continues the more "extremist" candidates could get in even more often, the people within countries could be more divided and if we're unlucky we'll get an increase of violence due to that. If someone tries to reform the EU it might not go on that path if we bite the bullet and get Le Pen or Melenchon or someone similar in other countries now to halt that trend.
>>
>>73929264
>Un-elected bureaucrats like Juncker
This is a pretty bogus far right myth. The People's Party (of which FG is a member and Phil Hogan is one of those on the commission) was elected as the largest representative party in the EU and Juncker was their nomination for leadership. It's no different than how in this country the largest party chooses its representative, does that make Enda Kenny un-elected?

The problem is in an Irish general election is that you know Enda Kenny will be Taoiseach if we elect FG or whoever their future leader, and the same elsewhere, and even if the 28 agree on someone we have no influence on how the other 27 pick their candidate, so we have control to an extent but not full control.
Phil Hogan being there is also part of the problem of how they choose candidates for their roles, he was put there after he did a horrendous job as Minister for Enviroment and Local affairs, and was put there to get him to remove him being accountable to people here.

>What? People here may run as FG, but they are part of the EPP, and will vote with the EPP? They are for all intents and purposes EPP candidates.
Not every party in that grouping has the same policies, similar but not equal. We don't have the case in Ireland or most other places where say the FG Offaly branch has a few significant differences to the FG Mayo branch, this is what happens for the EU parliament. Before you say it I know candidates in parties vary on some policies.

Well, for one, the Parliament can't specify which Commissioners they do or don't want. They have to approve/disapprove the collegiate as a whole, not individuals. This allows for absolutely RAMPANT corruption (the Santer Commission).

The Commission used to be elected by the European Council (i.e. the Heads of all National Governments), instead it was lobbied for spitzenkandidaten and now we have barely 40% of people (MEP turnouts are insanely low across Europe) voting.

The EPP only got about 29% of the vote in the last election.

29% of 42% of voters.

How in the fuck is the Commission being elected based on the support of 12% of the people in Europe in ANY way democratic?

Debt isn't necessarily a bad thing for a country, it's not like an asset's debt. That graph might not be too accurate though as it uses GDP which isn't that accurate for Ireland because of all the companies who funnel taxes here which don't go into the economy, I'm not an economist but there are more accurate methods than GDP for Ireland like GNP.

Not entirely true. It's a -little- more accurate, but still doesn't account for inverted mergers. An ""Irish"" company buys an American company (so now the American company is domiciled here). The American company is the one that generates all the wealth, but having been domiciled it is counted as an "Irish" company.

Look up corporate tax inversion, it's an absolute shitshow of fuckery.

>>73932322
>They don't have any authority to "make us" do anything

They got what they wanted by using strongarm tactics, that is what authority is. They may not have the express legal right, but the odds of a country ACTUALLY trying to stand up to the EU results in vicious attacks against them on a plethora of issues.

Look at Poland, Hungary or Slovakia. None of them want refugees, and the EU doesn't have competency in refugee resettlement - yet the EU is threatening them with expulsion from the EU, is threatening them with a €250,000 fine for each refugee they refuse (they've used the term punitive).

You're pretending the EU is in anyway caring about what it does and doesn't have competency in. It's a fucking stitch up job consisting of federalists. They might not have competency in some areas, but they certainly want them in those areas, and they'll leverage the fuck out of their position in order to get it - whether it's legal or moral or not.

The Commission was a mistake and should have a stake put through its heart, the Parliament is a shitshow of pseudo-democracy. The CJEU isn't even a real court of justice, it's a politically motivated court ("ever deeper union" being their ethos). The EU having EXCLUSIVE competency over fisheries was a mistake. The Eurozone was a mistake.

The only good thing to come out of Europe was the single market, the rest of it needs to be thoroughly and utterly ripped apart and salted beneath the feet of nationally accountable Governments.
>>
>>73932850
>Not entirely true.
There's like 12 different methods, they're all slightly more accurate to a degree depending on the situation, GNP probably isn't the best one but is slightly better than GDP, it's the only other one I know of.

That makes every method more difficult.

if it was op. rather than OP it would actually make sense, but weebs are illiterate so they can't figure out how it works.
