I went to Sikkim 3 years ago, there I went to a Tibetan cultural center as well as a Tibetan refugee camp. I bought a lot of souvenirs from their.
Sikkim has extremely similar culture to Tibet and Nepal. Basically their languages (Tibetan, Sikkimese and Dzongkha) use the same scripts and everything plus Sikkim is full of Buddhist monasteries (which I also visited), very serene.

you basically HAVE to do med school in canada, residencies from the uk/aus are even harder to get into than med school in the first place, US schools are fucking expensive (200-400k tuition + whatever cost of living) and even then, it's hard getting a residency.

to get into med school here you basically have to take an easy health science program and get straight A / A+'s

I was going to try to get into med school but after seeing a bunch of my friends with stellar grades and whatnot try to get in (and fail) it's really demotivating, especially seeing as my grades aren't as good as theirs either

made the switch to software engineering, haven't looked back since, less stress, more guarantee etc.

standardized exams are a lot better in my opinion for a lot of things, relying on undergrad or highschool gpa is retarded because there exists gpa inflation (my highschool for example basically gave everyone 90s because our program was harder than normal ontario highschool) so getting into uni was ez (still is for most people in ontario)
