can a spanish speaking person learn portuguese just by listening and shadowing? spanish and portuguese are too similar and im too lazy and busy to learn in another way

Learning Albanian, gf of 3 years is from Saranda, I live with her in her family's basement suite. Been to Albania once now and will be going back in just over a year. What are best ways to learn? I;ve got flash-cards and youtube vids goin atm

Italian for two years.

Going well. Finished Rosetta Stone now doing duolingo. Reading strikes and watching Italian series on YouTube. Still get lost when the talking gets too fast and I cannot speak as fast as I would like. Not giving up though. More practice is the answer.
