I don't believe that's true
How is that even possible?
Swimming is like walking
We spend the first handful of months of our lives literally swimming in a sea of cunt juice yet people still don't know how to swim. Weird.

Most people on earth are poor and either don't have have time to learn, never needed to to survive or don't live near a body of water

Swimming isn't hard. It's the breathing that's tricky.

>don't live near a body of water
Not all bodies of water are the same.

>Swimming isn't hard.
Apparently it is.

>This is the first report to examine racial/ethnic disparities in fatal drowning rates by age and setting. Overall, American Indians/Alaska Natives were twice as likely, and blacks 1.4 times as likely, to drown as whites. The disparity increased when only drowning deaths in swimming pools were considered. Blacks aged 5–19 years were 5.5 times more likely to drown in a swimming pool than their white peers, and at ages 11–12 years, blacks drowned in swimming pools at 10 times the rate of whites.

I'm one of them, and I live like 3h away from the closest beach.
Never had interest in learning as a kid, when in parties, family and school trips I always used to walk, play with a ball and splash water to others. Now I don't go to beaches anymore.
