Partially. The terms of peace following the Continuation War resulted in Finland losing about a third of its industrial base, and other terms very favorable to the Soviets, and the Soviets would've eventually overwhelmed them anyway. The Finns were lucky the Soviets had bigger fish to fry during that period.

But the Finns were brave, and fought hard to defend their homeland. I'd say all things considered they were very heroic and somewhat successful.
