In Norway, the punishment for child murder is four months in a minimum security hotel room per child murderer, with access to a computer and a PS2.

Norway is also the best country to live in.

>with access to a computer and a PS2
Why is this allowed?

Being forced to play in a ps2 when the ps3 exists is a serious infringement of human rights. It's pure cruelty and evil.

Where is the OHCHR to protest such cruel treatment?

>four months
Yeah, no. Murder can be 21 years, and recently it's become more common to put really dangerous criminals in special "supervision" prison. Under "supervision" they'll be assessed regularly, and if deemed fit to return to society they'll be set free - They could also spend their entire lives imprisoned.

>hotel room
We believe that the punishment is to be bereft of freedom. Why have rape camps for drug abusers like in the US? How does that help society?
Seems like it juts makes the incarcerated more criminal.

Also, although people might commit crime in the US to get into prisons like we have, people don't do so here because there's no point.
If you can't (or won't) work, we give you free money, a comfy apartment (much better than the prison one), free education, etc.
Why would you want to be locked up?

Sucks to be born in a third world country, I guess.

What about puting a bullet in the head to all murderers?
Why nobody thought of that before?
It seem a really progressive approach to me, it would solve the recidive issue and would be really cost effective.

Because all systems of law have faults and you could end up killing innocents, I guess?
Also, it seems a bit barbarian, to be honest.

To many Norwegians, it was seen as a kind of "fuck you" message to Breivik to treat him just like any other lowlife criminal.
Killing him would have made him a martyr, and we also showed him that he didn't manage to terrorize our society into submission.

Because that leaves no chance of appeal

Lucky bastards.I am so cringey rightnow. You guys are gaining so much profit without any loss. This not fair at all.Evolution of collective identity would be so slow like that.Individuals must be in loss at the same level of that profit for gaining and deserving that profit. This the most basic parameter for this complex civilization's development and sustainability.
