Is he really a fascist or is this just a dumb meme?
>>73357085
he's erdogan
Fascist? No.
Cunt? Yes.
Every time his party has come in power, they have passed laws which makes India less secular, less free and it's usually because of something related to Hinduism.
On the other hand, the opposition is a non-option. They are very corrupt, and their rule was marked with scandals. Nothing ever got done. The recent resurgence in Hindu nationalism is their fault, they were simply so bad that they really leave no choice.
In short, Modi isn't a fascist but a Hindu nationalist in disguise. His party has ties with openly Hindu nationalist groups.
>>73357385
I dont even think he's disguising it at this point. Im sure he had some say in the candidate picks for the CM of UP and theres no person more overtly hindu nationalist than that guy.
Where are you from btw? Its sad that in Mumbai, parties like the Shiv Sena are starting to seem like a moderate option given the current political climate.

>>73357671
Why aren't the muslims chimping out?
>>73357718
Cause the Hindus will fuck them up lol. India don't give a fuck about respecting the religion of peace or any such nonsense.
>>73357671
I'm from Rajasthan
>>73361099
So you live in desert?
>>73357718
This exactly >>73357805
Unlike in the West, everyone is capable of chimping out here. It's basically tyranny of the majority. If there ever erupts any violence between Hindus and Muslims in India, the Muslims would be in mortal danger simply because Hindus outnumber them six to one.
>>73361204
Yes, there is sand here but the sand dunes are a little more West.
Hinduism is an inherently fascist religion.
The caste system is used to keep the masses chained.
>>73357385
I've been to Rajasthan so I understand why you say that. Hindus there are Islam tier. But you see, different states have different requirements . Up desperate ly needs Hindu national ism now
>finally get a competent guy in power for once
>people label him a fascist and cunt
>>73365467
This is very common. Any competent leader is labelled a fascist. Because there are qualities inherent in them (charismatic, popular with common folk) that makes them easy to associate with Hitler. Just look at all the world leaders that are called fascists, they are usually loved by the people and good for the country.
The reason we are so fucked is because potential leaders are dubbed fascist, having their career destroyed before it ever began.
>>73365554
>Erdogan
>good for turkey
>Orban
>good refugee memes aside
do I have to show you where growth has been in hungary compared to it's neighbours and what happened to tourism after erdogan decided to end the ethnic peace?
>>73361239
Any historical examples?
>>73365958
>conveniently leaves out Putin and Trump
Erdogan made Turkey more relevant on geopolitic levels. Orban stood up against the EU hegemony and took his country from them.
>>73366248
If only turks could buy bread with geopolitical relevance and revive their relevance with it. Orban didn't do shit but act public, EU was blocked by other members in the refugee relocation scheme push.
Trump is untested, Putin rode a wave oil prices. Under him Russia lost Ukraine to the west.
You want to look at the most prosperous country a long serving competent politician with high popularity? Nobody calls her fascist m8.

Trump is being called a fascist, and has been true to his words too. Did more than Obama has in 8 years. Also ignoring the fact that the Russian economy boomed when Putin and the boyz took over the jam.
Success breeds jealousy, especially if the successful ones are "fascist"
>>73366589
Thanks! Btw, is it true that there are a lot of cousin married to each other in India?
>>73366520
You make points as though you're not talking to a /pol/tard. Interesting...
>>73366947
Trump is untested in the sense that his effect on america is unknown, also half the country hates him so it's not exactly fitting your point in that sense either.
If you think he's done anything for america yet you're buying into memes.
>>73367092
Cousin marriage is not that prevalent. Maybe among the Muslim community it is.
>>73367354
>implying a "/pol/tard" would shill for Erdogan.
>>73365467
He's literally blowing away $550 million on some huge fucking statue off the coas of Bombay. That taxpayer money could've been put to so many other things in a poverty stricken country like India.
He is definitely the only choice we've got but he's far, far from perfect. His faults (which are numerous) should be criticized.
>>73367476
>shill for Erdogan
Not him specifically, but definitely so for authoritarianism.
>>73365467
Lets be honest, how competent he is will always be up for debate. Many people considered Indira Gandhi's administration to be excellent. Its all a matter of personal ideology and for a lot of us, many of the steps he has taken are exactly the opposite of progress
