Eurovision 2017 is one month and a week away.

Who's hyped?

Also the official banner pictured is the perfect encapsulation of Swedish culture in my opinion.
>>
Is it possible for us to score minus points?
>>
>>73311808
I'll be watching for the first time. What should I expect?
>>
>>73312028
i dunno
last time Sweden was host so it was obvious there would be too much faggotry, and they did not disappoint
now i don't know
>>
>>73312066
It will be in ukraine so take a guess
>>
>>73311808
That's Ukraine tho
>>
btw i like Ukraine's song but since they chose rock, they gonna lose

A celebration Americans don't partake in, perchance? A shocking turn of events?
>>
desu I'd completely forgotten. I wonder how the whole refugee/islamofaskisti dealio will be represented

in before some east euro scores points with tits again

>>73311847
not so far, despite our best efforts
>>
>>73312183
All diaspora will be there so it will be massive shitstorm.
>>
>>73312192
Eurovision has a few countries that aren't in the EU, a couple aren't even on the right continent.
>>
>>73312259
I know.
Get out of the European broadcasting deal reeeeeeeeeee
>>
>>73312323
Someone will have to pay our share.
>>
>>73312139
Oh shit my mistake, I just saw blue and yellow, and "celebrate diversity" and my subconscious put 2 and 2 together.
>>
>>73312183
Oh shit I kinda love ukraines song, as far as cheesy euro-rock goes.
>>
Maybe it is because european culture is completely alien to me, but I honestly can't understand how can anyone enjoy this tacky shitfest.
>>
I dont want int to get flooded with crossboarders again.
Hopefully they will make the sticky on mu this time.
>>
>>73312503
Not even the performers take it seriously, man.
but it's fun the way /int/ is fun ;)

/mu/ is a shit board and they hate music
at least say /tv/ or i dunno
there isn't really any place better than /int/ for non-american happenings
>>
>>73313533
Then do it on pol since the Eurovision is being influenced by politics anyway
>>

Russia has a handicapped singer, kek. Try booing them this year eurocucks.
>>
>>73313660
>he needs to understand lyrics to enjoy a song
pleb
>>
>>73313660
Not sure about you but most people in Europe have listened to foreign language songs (mainly English and Spanish) for their entire life.
>>
>>73313670
hmmm?
>>
This time, Portugal has a chance(or not)

Damn, he's really good.

Shame only pop songs win, rock and slower song never have a chance.
>>
>>73314297
The clapping ruins that version. Can't those plebs wait for the end of the song?

Here's a non-clapping version, with less autism and a better performance from Salvador imo.

Whatever country sings in English or wins Eurovision in English is cucked and a disgrace beyond believe - the UK doesn't count, because we don't win anyway and we're allowed to sing in English.
>>
Which countries compete?
>>
>>73312192
>You guys should be banned from eurovision and the euros after brexit

Seeing as the UK actually has a worldwide relevant music industry, I wish we would leave this embarrassing shitshow. But unfortunately we're one of the biggest contributors and automatically get included in the final.
>>

our entry is so shit
>>
>>73314376

lordi won some years ago
>>
>>73314601
>our entry is so shit

Well yeah, it's the Eurovision """"song"""" contest.
>>
>>73314511
here's a compilation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utaONsx0rt8
it says 43 countries compete

>>73314297
it's really good actually. i liked it

>>73314010
>mainly English and Spanish
so obviously most "winner" songs will be in english or spanish, or not?
>>
>>73314511
Every European country, each country votes for their own representative act through the most watched to show in their country, then there's two shows, with half the countries in each, that whittles down about half of the overall countries.

Then the final determines the winner.

Israel also competes despite not being in Europe, because how dare Europe leave poor little ol' Israel out, goy.

There like a spoiled kid who demands you invite him to a party because "don't you know who my dad is?"
>>
>>73314650
>Every European country
and some "special guests"

Only spaniards sing in spanish and they're not very good at eurovisioning.
Western countries haven't been particularly good in the last 2 decades. It's mostly eastern yurop and scandinavia ruling the thing.
>>
>>73311808
Who /montenegro/ here?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWtqWD3TlaA
>>
>>73314664
Yeah, Israel and Australia.

I don't mind Aussies taking part because they're pretty much 90% European diaspora and I generally really like them as people, but Israel competing makes me sick.

I guess they're appealing to the LGBT audience

pretty wise of them, fags love yurovision
>>
>>73314763
Israel has been competing since the 70s. Countries like Morocco and Egypt are eligible to participate as well, they just choose not to because they're too butthurt to share a stage with Israel.

Also, we are nowhere near 90% European, more like 75% and we haven't even sent a white European singer to Eurovision. In 2015 we sent a Malaysian, 2016 was a Korean and this year is an Abo.
>>
>>73314630
Why are Ireland's song always so hokey and lame?

We've won it 7 times, more times than any country, and three times in a row, more consecutive wins of any country.

But the last ten years have been produced utter shit, despite having a great music scene over here, rock has always been our strength as a country musically, yet we always enter some effeminate guy singing music only grandmothers like.

For Fucks sake, people like energy, not music that puts people to sleep.

But Israel still has to qualify, at least with the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain and Italy they gain automatic qualification to the final so are guaranteed embarrassment (Italy not so much).
