Is there a more tragic world leader?

>Weep for dead dream of peace of mind, eventually accept fate and return home
>Tries to be a just and level-headed ruler, as is his spirit. Surely this is the way of Allah?
>Suddenly rebels spawn and start literally GASSING THEMSELVES as propaganda
>Everyone now hates poor Assad and want him and his family dead
>Trapped in palace bunker for years while incompetent and disloyal generals continually promise him everything is going to plan
>At night dreams of the sweet scent of Swiss meadow grass while explosions from afar lightly vibrate the walls of his sleeping chamber.
>Bashar's gentle mind wastes away under the weight of his conscious, waiting for the inevitable sensation of a handgun pressed against the back of his head.
