H1B visas are supposed to be used for professions where an adequate supply of skilled workers can't be found domestically. Due to lobbying by tech firms, there is practically no requirement to find local applicants if the job pays more than 60k a year, so tech firms can import pajeets to undercut prices. H1B workers are not permanent at the company, everyone knows. Any company would rather hire a more expensive engineer who has a higher chance of staying at the company long-term because they are an autistic engineer who doesn't want to interview anywhere else once they land the job.
