About comics - yes, with marvelshit films it's certainly popular, some retards even begin to read comics and suddenly get to worthy titles like metabarons, blacksad and hellboi, preacher and etc.
Also some guy started russian comics company, they hired authors and was trying make something with western concept of comics, not failed, but did not much good titles, and not so long ago they restarted most of the series. Better than before, but I dont know how it will turn out. Drawing technique still decent and gets better slowly. Dont quite like pacing and editing decisions sometimes, but it's not horrible.
Also, I think about getting my hands better and draw comics myself.

TL;DR: Yes they are, Deadpool is lovable to majority of young people and schoolers because of jokes, there are a lot of people liking comics, but they so rarely get to read smth worthy.

Deadpool in Russia is pretty much just like Deadpool in every other country: people who are not very familiar with postmodernism are absolutely blown the fuck out by the self-concious, fourth-wall breaking, cynical, edgy and quirky protagonist. We also don't have a comic culture, so pretty much every comic series is kind of frowned upon. Or at least used to be frowned upon, until now. We certainly have a decent chunk of "nerd gurls" (that certainly explains Reynolds circlejerk) and *learns about /co/*-fuckfaces, but it's honestly not that big. And Deadpool """"novelty"""" probably seems still fresh, that's my blind guess.
