How are architects paid in your country ?

I do a formation research, i did technical school so i'm orienting towards technical drawing and such, i am good at it

I find a building and public works formation
They say "yeah you are basically working with the architects, you are paid the same as an architect"

So i am like "wow sweet, architects must be very well paid, like an engineer, idk, from 2500 to 4000 a month"
Well, NO

Architect is actually a garbage job that is paid 1500euro a month
I was so shocked to learn this

Are architects also paid like shit in your country or is this only in France ?
>>
as usual no one wants to talk about real shit you'd rather circlejerk about black women or something, fuck you too /int/

big shocker useless jobs with no skills are lowly paid.
>>
autism (ôˈtĭzˌəm), noun : A pervasive developmental disorder characterized by severe deficits in social interaction and communication, such as taking non serious things seriously.

Example : I come to /int/ for non-meme info, i have AUTISM.
Example 2: I believe the shit 4chan says to me, I have AUTISM.

>architect
>useless with no skills
yeah apparently in the modern day it's like that but for thousands of years architect was a good job, can you blame me for thinking it still was

Heh, really depends on the specialisation and experience. I've seen jobs asking for architect here ranging from 18000 to 45000 pounds per year but the ones ranged lower are usually assistant/junior architects, part 1 architects or stuff like general technical draughtsmen, which is what you do by what you said.

Then there's the seniors, part 3 and project architects which are the ones who range higher on pay. It all depends on experience really, here if you land a job architecture related and just keep climbing the career ladder, you'll usually end up with some sweet deals in architecture/CAD/Engineering as far as I've seen.

Now from personal experience, I am a relatively fresh Architect and I've been trying to land a job in a starter position, been looking from landscape design to technical drawing and I think the overall pay offer is fair.

that's reassuring, i can afford to do more studies afterwards but not if the whole domain is stuck and fucked and there is no professional evolution possible

how do you think the future is looking btw ? will you still have a job in 20 years or potentially you'll be replaced by a machine ? overall are things getting better or worse for architects ?

I'll go ahead and take the bait on this one but really, memes aside, Architecture/Any engineering career usually gives an enough flexible knowledge and theory to apply to a broad range of jobs, interior, landscape, urban, lightning design and if you wanna go to the more technical side you can apply for some some M&E, product designer, structural designer, etc.

I feel its pretty flexible, but besides the practical side, like everything, you gotta do some connections and just expose yourself a bit to get experience

Because you are mixing a couple of things.

In Austria there is a difference between an architect, someone that is examined by the state and allowed to enter the professional register of architects thus hold the title... and an uni-graduate, that is basically a cad-monkey.

a cad-monkey with an uni-degree in architecture gets payed peanuts, because he is a technical drawer with no responsibility whatsoever.

an architect is a states-commisioned technical expert, that is payed accordingly. given the legislature in austria he is not allowed to be hired and thus has to work as an entrepreneur on contractual basis, with the common market hourly-fee of 90-120€ that is not regulated. if an architect rests his authority in the chamber he is allowed to be an employee, getting payed the amount he is offered by the company he is working for.

I personally highly doubt any kind of design/creative related job will get replaced by machines anytime soon and I do feel there's a lot of professional development to be had in this field, like everything you just gotta keep at it and see where you decide to specialise in and I feel that employers will always prefer an Architect/Engineer with some draughtsman experience background, or hell, any type of engineer/design related background.
So I wouldn't really worry about it, then again, no one but yourself should evaluate or set your own goals.

architect ain't engineers
>>
>>73163057
nice, thanks for the informations m8

>>73163054
interesting, i guess it must be very complicated to go from simple cad to state official no ?
is it realistic for me to assume you have intermediary steps, like if you start out doing the basic cad then specialize in something over the years, i assume you become more valuable

Around 1700-1800€ per month. But there is major problem: we have too many architects per capita :(
