Ottawa truly is Canada's forgotten city. It has nothing going for it except for the federal government which has absolutely nothing to do with the city. The politicians and bureaucrats enter the city in the mornings for work and once they leave in the afternoon the whole downtown closes shop and the streets get flooded with druggies and homeless beggars.

There is next to no spending on infrastructure because the rich live in the suburbs that were built on top of our greenbelt. The only people living in the city are those too poor to move out.

In a city of 1 million people we're getting our first semi-independent train in 2018.

Well then they shouldn't just make hanging flags, yours clearly doesn't work with it and it's kinda shameful to have a flag of another country hanging on your parliamentary building.
I feel the same when Polish flag gets flipped by 90° just to hang nicely.
