Such is life. In nature there is prey and there are predators. Small microstates are the equivalent of a stillborn gazelle in the savannah.
So why should we care? It's the natural order of things. Survival of the fittest.

And it's not like they'd be alone in Russia. There are plenty of minorities there.

Let them try. I'm not afraid, and I wouldn't even if Russia was right next door. We have powerful alliances,and NATO is on our side. There's no point running around like headless chickens - a la Lithuanians, when our safety is guaranteed by the strictest treaties and contracts.
