I've always wondered why we (Swedish) call the country Wales even though we call the language Cymric/Cymrish. Shouldn't we call it Cymria or Cymmern or something?

The Welsh need to make their own alphabet if they're gonna keep using that language.

Can't have a country's name end in 'U'. Just doesn't work with Swedish nomenclature for nations. "Kymrien" is the closest we can get.
