People used them to shoe pesky rats out of the city. Otherwise they'd just scatter and who knows where they would go.

It was the only way to transport memes back then, at the top there's a hollow tube that carries a waterway, and if you put a small boat with some memes in papyrus inside it you can transport those memes to the next province.

theres a reason these buildings are still standing
some of the buildings built without cement, just putting rocks on top of each other making their weight keep the building together, have better built quality than the average european building

also roman concrete was actually better quality than all modern country, and more environmental friendly too
