I'm there now.

It's often overcast, packed with illegitimate chinese money, everything is expensive (especially real estate), but it has amazing scenery, good skiing and hiking and biking, and it never gets really cold.

And there's something about the place that makes people easy-going despite it being a "big city', none of that New York style intensity and rushing. Lots of people just taking an afternoon off to go to hot yoga or take the family to Stanley Park for a picnic.
